About

We write less throwaway code, and ship more working systems.

Lesscode LLC is an AI and software studio, operating since 2013. We help founders and teams move from "it works in the demo" to "it works at scale" — building new production systems from scratch, hardening ones that are already shipped, and rescuing builds a previous developer left brittle and expensive.

We don't just build for clients. We ship our own products — an AI voice receptionist, an operating system for agencies, and more. They're independent ventures, separate from our client work; running them keeps us honest about the same production realities we engineer for you.

The name is the philosophy: less code that breaks, less budget burned, less brittle infrastructure. More outcomes you can rely on.

Who does the work

A small senior team, on purpose.

Lesscode is a small studio of principal-level engineers. That is a deliberate constraint rather than a stage we have not grown out of: the failure mode we see most often in inherited projects is a system designed by someone senior and built by someone who was never told why. We keep the two the same person.

The practical experience behind the work spans distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and applied AI — LLM application architecture, retrieval systems, voice pipelines, and the evaluation and observability layers that decide whether any of it survives contact with real users. That is thirteen years of shipping, and of being on call for what was shipped.

We also maintain a public trail. Our Bubble plugins are installable and inspectable in the marketplace, our case studies name the stack and the constraints rather than gesturing at outcomes, and our client reviews are collected and verified by a third party. None of that is a substitute for a technical conversation, but all of it can be checked before you have one.

How we operate

Commitments, not values.

Each of these is something you can hold us to during an engagement.

01

Principal engineers do the work

The people who scope a project are the people who build it. There is no layer of junior delivery staff between the technical conversation and the code, which is why the engagement stays small and the answers stay direct.

02

You own everything at handover

Source code, database schemas, prompts, evaluation sets, infrastructure configuration, and deployment pipelines. No licensed components you cannot remove, no hosting you cannot leave, no proprietary layer that makes replacing us expensive.

03

We say no to work that should not exist

A meaningful share of the AI projects we are asked to quote are better solved with a database query, a fixed rule, or a process change. We say so before invoicing, because the alternative is a system that costs money monthly and impresses nobody after month two.

04

Estimates are ranges, and we explain them

Software estimates are uncertain and pretending otherwise helps no one. We give ranges, name what would push a project to the top of one, and re-scope openly when a discovery changes the picture.

Operators, not only contractors

Software we run ourselves.

We carry the support queue, the infrastructure bill, and the pager for these. It is the fastest way to stay honest about what production actually costs.

Straight answers

What people ask before hiring us.

01Who actually writes the code?

Senior engineers who work on the project directly. Lesscode is deliberately a small studio: the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it, and you talk to them rather than to an account manager.

02What is Lesscode certified in?

We are a certified Bubble Silver Agency, we maintain a verified agency profile with third-party reviews on Clutch, and we publish supported plugins in the Bubble marketplace. Our AI and custom engineering work is evidenced by shipped systems and our own production SaaS rather than by vendor badges.

03Do you build your own software, or only client work?

Both. We build and operate AI Receptionist, Agencly, and Social Pilot. Running our own products means we carry the support queue, the infrastructure bill, and the on-call pager for the same kind of systems we build for clients.

04What do we own when the project ends?

All of it: source code, schemas, prompts, evaluation sets, infrastructure configuration, and deployment pipelines. We do not retain licensed components, and nothing we build requires an ongoing contract with us to keep running.

05How long has Lesscode been operating?

Since 2013 — over thirteen years of designing, shipping, and repairing production software, across more than 200 projects.
